What Is Won in Metin2? Yang to Won Converter & Buying Guide

If you play Metin2 and have spent any time trading or shopping for currency, you have probably seen the term Won next to Yang. A lot of players are not sure what it is, how it relates to Yang, or whether they should buy Yang or Won. This guide explains Won clearly and completely – including the exact conversion rate, the in-game fee, the carry limit, and what actually matters when you buy.

What is Won in Metin2?

Won is the second currency in Metin2, added with game version 16.0. It exists alongside the classic Yang and solves a very practical problem: at higher levels, Yang amounts get so large that they become hard to handle. Each character can only carry up to 1,999,999,999 Yang at once, so once you push past about two billion, you simply cannot hold more in Yang form. Won packs those huge sums into a much smaller, cleaner number, letting you store and trade far more value.

In short: Won and Yang are the same in-game wealth in two different denominations. Yang is the small everyday unit, Won is the large unit for high amounts and endgame trading.

How much is 1 Won? The exact conversion

The conversion happens in-game at the Storage Keeper, in the „Currency Exchange“ menu. There you can turn Yang into Won and the other way around. The exact numbers matter, because one direction has a fee:

  • 1 Won = 100,000,000 Yang (that is 100kk) in value.
  • Converting Yang to Won costs a 3% fee, so it actually takes 103,000,000 Yang (103kk) to get 1 Won.
  • Converting Won back to Yang is free – you get the full 100kk per Won with no fee.
  • A single character can hold a maximum of 3,000 Won.

Quick example: to get 10 Won in-game you pay roughly 1,030kk Yang (10 × 103kk) because of the 3% fee. Convert those 10 Won back later and you receive the full 1,000kk. This one-way fee is exactly why experienced players keep large amounts as Won instead of constantly swapping back and forth.

Won Value in Yang Cost to convert (incl. 3% fee)

10 Won1,000,000,000 Yang (1kkk)1,030kk Yang

Should you buy Yang or Won?

If you decide to skip hours of farming and simply buy currency, the next question is whether to order Yang or Won. Both represent the same value – the difference is the delivery form:

  • Delivery as Yang is usually free of fees and fine for small to medium amounts.
  • Delivery as Won is practical for very large sums, because it needs fewer individual transfers and is easier to handle in-game, especially past the Yang carry limit.

For most players on Teutonia and Germania the rule of thumb is simple: up to a few hundred kk, Yang is perfectly fine. Once you move into several kkk, Won is the more convenient option. At YangBazaar you get both – you just pick the amount, and we sort out the best delivery form with you over Discord or live chat.

Frequently asked questions about Won

Is Won the same as Yang?

Won and Yang are the same in-game currency in different units. 1 Won equals 100kk Yang. Won is just the bigger, cleaner denomination for high amounts.

How much Yang is 1 Won?

1 Won = 100,000,000 Yang (100kk). Because of the 3% exchange fee, converting Yang to Won costs you 103kk Yang per Won.

Why does 1 Won cost 103kk instead of 100kk?

The value of 1 Won is 100kk Yang. The extra 3kk is the 3% conversion fee the game charges when you turn Yang into Won. Converting Won back to Yang is free.

How much Won can a character hold?

A single character can carry a maximum of 3,000 Won. Combined with the 1,999,999,999 Yang carry limit, Won is the main way to store large amounts of wealth on one character.

Should I buy Yang or Won on Teutonia?

For smaller amounts, Yang is enough and usually free of fees. For large sums from several kkk upward, Won is more convenient. At YangBazaar for Teutonia you simply choose the amount and we handle the rest.

Is it safe to buy Won?

Yes, as long as you choose a trusted seller that never asks for your password and delivers through safe in-game methods. YangBazaar uses only secure hand-overs and offers 24/7 support.
